Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is a broad term used to describe dental procedures that address the esthetic demands of dental patients. Some of these procedures include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, white/composite fillings, crowns and bridges.

A common request from patients is to have their silver fillings replaced because white/composite fillings are considered more esthetically pleasing as they are tooth-coloured.

Spacing and crowding issues can also be addressed with a variety of cosmetic dentistry treatments such as minor bonding using composite/white fillings to close gaps between teeth, application of porcelain veneers/crowns for more durable and esthetically pleasing outcomes, and/or orthodontic treatments to bring about improved alignment of teeth.

In some cases a single procedure is adequate to achieve the desirable outcome. While in other cases a combination of several procedures is needed to attain the ultimate goal of an attractive smile.  It is our philosophy that sometimes less is more and thus we are judicious in the selection of treatment modalities required to conservatively and appropriately achieve the ultimate smile.
